42 Years in Bloom
The Bermuda Run Garden Club celebrated a very special milestone on Wednesday, September 2, 2026: 42 years of friendship, flowers and a shared love of making our community more beautiful.
The day began with a tour of the Tanglewood Arboretum, where members enjoyed spending time together surrounded by beautiful gardens and plenty of inspiration. From there, the celebration continued with lunch at Bermuda Run Country Club.
Hostesses Cindy O’Hagan and Janet DeLong made the occasion even more special with a beautiful floral arrangement they created in the shape of a wrapped present. It was a perfect centerpiece for an anniversary worth celebrating.
During the gathering, members also shared updates on patriotic floral arrangements created for September. The bouquets honored both America’s 250th anniversary and the 25th anniversary of September 11.
October brings another favorite tradition for the club, as many members prepare to enter flower specimens and floral designs in the Carolina Classic Fair, held October 2 through 11. We will be cheering them on and hoping to see a few ribbons come home to Bermuda Run!
For more than four decades, the Bermuda Run Garden Club has brought together neighbors who share a love of gardening, floral design, conservation and community beautification.
Perhaps just as important as the flowers and gardens are the friendships that have grown right alongside them.
Here’s to 42 wonderful years of blooming, growing and making Bermuda Run a little more beautiful together.
