Building Comfort, Crafting Futures: Meet Brad & Gina Rye of All Phase Heating & Cooling
If you’ve driven through Advance recently, you’ve likely noticed the new sign and long driveway marking the new home of All Phase Heating & Cooling. Built in the spring of 2026 by owners Brad and Gina Rye, the property is a reflection of their deep family values, community dedication, and passion for supporting local youth.
A Journey Home
Brad and Gina’s story goes back to third grade, where they first met as childhood sweethearts. After years of chasing demanding corporate careers, titles, and frequent travel across the country, they reached a turning point at age 35, realizing they needed to reevaluate their priorities for the sake of their family.
"We had a real moment of clarity," Gina shares. "We stepped back and realized we weren't living the life God truly intended for us."
That realization led to a leap of faith: a year-long sabbatical in Wasilla, Alaska. The experience brought their family closer together, though Gina jokes that this Southern belle quickly realized the Arctic cold was not for her! Guided back home to North Carolina, they settled in the Lincoln County area and opened their first heating and air business in 2017.
In October 2023, after selling their original company and looking for a place to put down roots, Brad and Gina connected with Steve Strange, the founder of All Phase Heating & Cooling. Steve wanted to pass his business to a team that would take care of his customers like family, rather than selling to a large corporate firm. The Ryes bought All Phase and have been serving the Davie County community ever since.
Supporting Options for Local Youth
While keeping local homes comfortable is their day job, Brad and Gina are equally passionate about a cause close to their hearts: raising awareness for career paths in the skilled trades.
As parents of four children: Evan, Nathan, Dirks, and Reese; the Ryes know that college isn't the only route to a successful future:
Evan, their oldest, decided college wasn't for him after a year and a half at NC State in their Engineering program. Today, he serves as All Phase's Service Manager and is a familiar face to customers across the county.
Nathan, their second son, has always wanted to be a surgeon. He is a senior at Wake Forest and is anxiously awaiting his acceptance to Medical School.
Dierks and Reese, both high schoolers and dedicated runners, are navigating their own upcoming choices between academics, athletics, and future plans.
"We really need to encourage more young people to consider the trades," Gina explains. "Four-year college isn't the right fit for every child, and so many young men and women thrive when working hands-on."
Investing in Davie County's Future
Skilled labor offers strong earning potential, job security, and freedom from high student debt.
"Trades are essentially future-proof," notes Gina. "Even with technology and AI advancing, AI can't come out to your home and fix your air conditioner on a hot summer day. It will always take a skilled technician with a wrench and hands-on expertise."
All Phase Heating & Cooling actively supports local youth through summer work and internships. They recently hosted a local high school graduate who learned trade skills over the summer before entering the military for HVAC training—with a guaranteed job waiting for him at All Phase when his service concludes.
Whether serving residential customers or mentoring the next generation, Brad and Gina Rye are proud to be active community partners investing right here in Davie County.
