What began in 1932 with just seven local paper mill employees seeking a safe place to save their earnings has grown into a member-focused cooperative dedicated to helping people feel confident, supported and empowered in their financial journey.
Champion Credit Union has seven locations and continues to stay true to its mission: helping people experience more in life. Lorinda Whaley, director of member experience, says, “Unlike traditional banks, we exist for our members, not for profit.” It’s a personalized approach to banking that emphasizes relationships over transactions.
