Locally owned and operated, Apple A/C & Heat Services was founded by John Luera in 2020 after earning certification from the American Trade Institute (ATI) and gaining hands-on experience in the field. Growing up in Balch Springs, John developed an interest in HVAC in high school while watching a technician repair his family’s AC system, impressed with the technician’s expertise and proficiency in making the repair. After high school, he attended ATI’s night program while working as an installer’s assistant to build practical skills.

 

John’s entrepreneurial drive caused his career to change direction, when, in pursuit of his dream of owning his own business, John opened a tattoo and retail shop. Although the store was successful, John decided to close it and return to his passion for HVAC with a goal of starting his own HVAC business. He launched Apple A/C & Heat Services in 2020, which has since grown to a crew of 4 certified technicians and installers and a number of brightly branded trucks and vans serving the Rockwall and Heath areas.

 

Today, Apple A/C & Heat Services provides comprehensive heating and cooling services throughout Rockwall County and the North Texas Metroplex. Their team is committed to keeping homes comfortable, safe, and energy-efficient year-round, offering reliable repairs at competitive prices with no unnecessary upselling. John and his wife Andrea, a realtor with Call It Closed realty, have lived in Buffalo Creek for 3 years. They recently moved to Stoneleigh to accommodate their blended and growing family of six kids. Together, they have four daughters, their son John Jr., and recently welcomed a new baby girl. Despite busy careers and owning and operating a small business, they enjoy spending family time fishing, biking, and hosting cookouts with family and friends.
