STAR SPANGLED Ice Cream Treats
As we celebrate America’s 250th, consider making these easy treats. They are FUN and FESTIVE. “Kids” of all ages will love them.
You can make these a few days in advance and serve them at your party or bring to someone else’s.
ALL YOU NEED:
Your favorite brand of ice cream sandwiches
Festive sprinkles*
Wooden craft/ice cream sticks
DIRECTIONS:
Pour a generous amount of sprinkles onto a plate.
Line a freezer-safe container with wax paper.
Remove the paper wrapper from the sandwich. Work with one sandwich at a time, keeping the others in the freezer so they don’t become too warm.
Press the side of the sandwich into the sprinkles so they stick. Repeat until all sides are covered.
Put the sprinkled covered sandwich into the lined container and put it in the freezer while covering the remaining sandwiches.
Keep the container in the freezer until ready to serve.

TIPS:
If you want smaller sandwiches, just cut them in half before removing the wrappers.
If you plan to make a large amount, put wax paper in between each layer in the container so they don’t stick.
