I was born and raised on Long Island but fell in love with Vermont during medical school and residency. I’ve practiced full-spectrum family medicine, including pediatrics, adult care, and delivering babies, for over 24 years. This includes a decade right here in Manchester from 1991 to 2001. I also spent 10 years in academic medicine before returning to Vermont. I am a widower, sadly, but have two daughters out on their own, one in Milwaukee and one in Los Angeles.

In 2024, I founded Manchester Direct Family Practice, built on a direct primary care model that allows me to spend the time patients need to truly get and stay healthier. I still practice wide-range family medicine, caring for all ages and all aspects of women's health (except obstetrics and surgical gynecology).

The practice runs on a direct primary care model. This model does not submit to insurance companies, so I do not spend time doing paperwork and can devote that time to my patients. I collect a single monthly fee from patients (ranging from $30 to $90 depending on age) which covers unlimited visits, phone calls, and emails. No co-pays. No deductibles. No billing surprises. That single payment also includes 36 common primary care medications (in multiple doses) and 15 core lab tests—important cost-savers for patients. There are never any copays, co-insurances, or deductibles. One monthly payment, full stop. Simple. 

Because I’m the decision maker in the practice (no administrators involved), I can stay on the cutting edge of care. I invested in an Emsculpt machine, which decreases fat and builds muscle at the same time; I am exploring new health-related applications for it.

I'm also happy to note that we just opened to business clients and signed our first one, Doctor Delivery, LLC. Doctor Delivery is a full-fledged insurance product that works only with direct primary care doctors like myself because they know that direct primary care has been shown in research to lower costs of care. Local businesspeople who want to lower their costs can call me, and I will do my best to help!

At the end of the day, I am just happy doing patient care. It is what I signed up for way back when I started medical school, and I still love doing it. I just want to offer it to more people.
