                         NEW Lock Box Key Program
The AgingWell initiative is pleased to announce a new lock box key program. This service was requested by residents and will allow emergency responders to access a home quickly in case of an emergency or if requested by the resident if they are locked out. For many years, residents have been able to have their house key locked at village hall, but when emergency responders arrive at your home and you can’t open the door for them, or you aren’t home, they must drive back to village hall to retrieve your key which causes delays.

The fire department will install a locked box on your house that has a key to enter your house which will eliminate delays. The key boxes are only accessible to members of our Police, Fire, EMS and are available to Gates Mills residents free of charge. To request a box, call Village Hall at 440-423-4405 and a member of the Fire Department will come to your house at a scheduled time and install the box. The resident will need to supply a key to the home to be secured in the box.
