What made you decide to make your home your pet's forever home?
Peyton joined our family after we began searching for a new furry family member. We have always had Bichons, so we knew we wanted to continue that tradition. When we met Peyton, there was an immediate connection, and she quickly stole our hearts. As if she wasn't already meant to be part of our family, we later discovered that she was actually related to our previous beloved pup, Shelby. It felt like more than a coincidence—it felt like fate. Knowing Peyton shared a family connection with Shelby made bringing her home even more special, and she has been a cherished part of our family ever since. Peyton's favorite human is my mom, Tammy, and they share a special bond.

After having Bichons for more than 30 years, my dad, James, decided he wanted a more active dog. While we loved our Bichons, he was looking for a pup with a little extra energy and enthusiasm. That's when Lucy came into our lives, and she certainly delivered. Whether she's chasing her beloved ball, carrying it around the house, or making sure it's right beside her when she sleeps, Lucy has more than fulfilled my dad's wish for an active companion.
Lucy and Peyton's different personalities balance each other perfectly, and together they make our family complete.

How did your pet get his/her name?
Peyton was named after Peyton Manning because we're a big NFL family and have always loved football. Peyton Manning was my mom's favorite quarterback.
Lucy was named after Lucille Ball because she was red when she was a puppy. Over time, Lucy's coloring has lightened, but little did we know that her name would fit her in another way. Just like her namesake, Lucy has a ball-centered personality. She absolutely loves her ball and carries it everywhere she goes. In a funny twist, Lucy Ball turned out to be the perfect name for her.

Does your pet have any favorite toys, places to sleep, visit, etc.?
My dogs, Lucy and Peyton, have very different personalities, but they both bring so much joy to our family.

Peyton's favorite thing in the world is food. She is always ready for a snack, a treat, or mealtime. The sound of a bag opening or someone heading to the kitchen gets her attention immediately.

Lucy is obsessed with her ball. She carries it everywhere she goes and almost always has it in her mouth. She even sleeps with it, making sure it's close by at all times. If you see Lucy, chances are you'll see her ball too.

Tell us something quirky or funny that your pet does:
One thing Lucy and Peyton definitely have in common is their love for Chick-fil-A pup cups. Whenever my mom, Tammy, goes to get her morning Egg White Grill sandwich, they get excited because they know there's a good chance pup cups are coming home with her. It's one of their favorite treats, and they eagerly wait for her return. Lucy carries her pup cup bowl around the house, asking for a refill!

How has having your pet made your life better?
Lucy and Peyton have made our lives better in countless ways. They bring joy, laughter, and unconditional love to our family every day. Whether it's Lucy making us smile with her constant devotion to her ball or Peyton eagerly waiting for a treat, they have a way of brightening even the most ordinary moments.
Lucy and Peyton are more than pets—they are cherished members of our family. Their unique personalities, unwavering love, and daily companionship have filled our home with happiness and made our lives richer than we ever could have imagined.
