At just 13 years old, Jack is already building an impressive foundation for a bright future. As he prepares to enter 8th grade, this Glenmary young achiever is balancing academics, robotics, golf, and leadership opportunities—all while keeping his sights set on a big dream: attending MIT and becoming an engineer.

Jack has called the neighborhood home since he was just nine months old and lives with his mom, dad, sister, and their three beloved dogs. While many kids his age are still figuring out what they enjoy, Jack has already discovered two passions that challenge him in very different ways: robotics and golf.

His journey into robotics began during his 6th-grade year at Noe Middle School. What started as a new opportunity quickly became something much bigger. Today, Jack is an active member of the Noe Middle Robotics Club and serves as the primary driver and builder on his team. One of his proudest accomplishments came this past year when his team earned a spot at the prestigious VEX IQ Robotics World Championship in St. Louis.

For Jack, robotics is much more than building machines.His dedication to learning is evident in the fact that he taught himself how to code his team’s robot using block coding, adding another valuable skill to his growing engineering toolbox.

Golf entered Jack’s life in a very different way. During a family outing to Topgolf, his parents noticed something special. “They looked at each other and said, ‘I think we’ve got a ringer,’” Jack recalls. Soon after, his dad took him to the driving range, let him practice with his clubs, and before long, Jack had a set of his own. Since then, he has become a member of the Noe Middle golf team and continues to improve his game.

What Jack enjoys most about golf is the combination of fun, competition, and personal growth. It gives him an outlet for his energy while constantly challenging him to improve. One lesson he’s learned through golf is simple but powerful: “You are always a student.”

In addition to robotics and golf, Jack is also a member of the Noe Beta Club, demonstrating his commitment to both leadership and academic excellence.

When asked how he balances school, sports, and extracurricular activities, Jack answers with a smile and a sense of humor. “I’m 13 years old… my parents do a pretty good job of keeping me balanced.”

One person who has made a significant impact on Jack’s life is his robotics coach, Mrs. Ames. “She’s the best science teacher I’ve ever had and is practically a bonus mother,” he says. Jack admires her kindness, encouragement, and ability to help students believe in themselves. Over the past two years, she has inspired him to grow not only as a student but also as a person.

With his curiosity, determination, and willingness to keep learning, there’s little doubt that Jack is well on his way to achieving his goals—and making Glenmary proud along the way.
