At Home on Isle of Hope

For Betsy Kingston Myers of Daniel Ravenel Sotheby’s International Realty, Isle of Hope is more than a market—it is home.

Myers grew up on the island and returned in 2019 with her husband, Trey. Together, they are raising four boys alongside a dog and a cat. Having lived in five different Isle of Hope houses, she brings firsthand knowledge of the neighborhood’s homes, character, and enduring appeal to her work in residential real estate.

Her career began taking shape while the family lived in booming Nashville, Tennessee. Fascinated by the residential activity unfolding around her, Myers closely followed the market until Trey encouraged her to trade observation for action and earn her real estate license.

Today, she helps clients buy and sell homes with an approach grounded in attentiveness and genuine connection. Her philosophy is simple: If she and her clients are not friends when they begin working together, they likely will be by closing.

“Working with Betsy was the best choice we made,” client Sara W. said. “She knew exactly what we wanted from the start and got us into almost exclusively off-market homes. We never had to follow up because she was always a step ahead.”

Myers’ local commitment extends beyond real estate through her support of the Isle of Hope Sharks Swim Team and Bethesda Academy.

Her advice to homeowners reflects her affection for the area: Preserve mature trees and incorporate native landscaping. Both enhance a property’s beauty and value while protecting the island’s natural character.

Admittedly “Isle of Hope-biased,” Myers hopes to continue meeting new people, helping them find the right homes, and encouraging neighbors to preserve what makes the community exceptional.
