After years spent helping couples plan their dream weddings, Allison Smits knew exactly what was missing in the Green Bay area: a venue that felt elegant, welcoming, and filled with natural light while also offering beautiful outdoor spaces for guests to gather and celebrate. Six years ago, that vision became reality with The LedgeCrest Reserve.

Located in the heart of Ledgeview, The LedgeCrest Reserve has quickly become one of the area’s premier event venues, hosting more than 450 weddings along with countless social gatherings and celebrations. With seating for up to 400 guests, the venue combines sophistication with warmth, offering an experience designed to make every event feel unforgettable.

Before opening the venue, Allison spent decades immersed in the wedding industry. She first began working in a bridal store at just 18 years old and later worked at DuBois Bridal. After becoming a mother, she helped her mom launch Tie the Knot Bridal in Green Bay, where she discovered a true passion for helping couples navigate one of the biggest moments of their lives. Nearly 27 years later, weddings are still at the center of what she loves most.

That experience helped shape every detail of The LedgeCrest Reserve. From the thoughtfully designed courtyard used for ceremonies and cocktail hours to the elegant interior spaces filled with natural light, Allison created a venue that balances beauty with functionality. Her goal has always been to provide a high-end, private, and trusted space where families and friends can gather for life’s most meaningful celebrations.

Allison and her children moved to Ledgeview in 2017, and she says the people are what make the community feel so special. She appreciates the close-knit atmosphere and the way neighbors are always willing to support one another and lend a helping hand.

Outside of her business, Allison also stays connected to causes close to her heart. Through her years in the wedding industry, she has worked alongside many charitable organizations, but Golden House remains especially meaningful to her because of the support they provided during a difficult time in her life.

Today, Allison continues to pour her passion and experience into every event hosted at The LedgeCrest Reserve. Whether it is a wedding, celebration, or special gathering, her mission remains the same: creating beautiful moments people will remember for years to come.
