Introducing Reggie

Making a Splash in Medallion

Hello! My name is Reggie and I’m an English Lab. My family moved to Medallion seven years ago. My family always says they love the neighborhood because there are so many kids and it feels like such a safe place to call home. They have a lot of friends here and so do I!

My family waited a couple years to get me from Silver Rain Labradors and they say I am perfect (and I totally agree)! I joined my family around COVID time, because they knew they would have the right amount of time it takes to train a puppy. Turns out they were right. I loved having them home with me.

I know you think Reggie is a cool name, but it actually has a story behind it. My family are true Yankee fans, so I am named after the one-and-only Reggie Jackson. It feels like a pretty big name to live up to, but I think I do a good job if I do say so myself.

If you ask what makes me stand out, my family will tell you I am the kindest and friendliest dog with a very sweet disposition. I just love everyone. I do not have any super unique tricks, but I absolutely love swimming. Seriously, I could swim all day. I think it’s because my human siblings, Ryder and Harlow, love swimming too. Harlow is on the swin team, but if I want to be on the swim team, I’m thinking I’ll need to start a four-legged team of my own!

When it comes to toys and treats…any treat is my favorite treat. I do have a toy rabbit that I love and for Christmas I got a penguin that I pull out of my toy basket every single day. I’m very proud that I’ve had them for six months and they have not been ripped to shreds yet!

Some of our favorite memories are trips to the beach. My family says they could watch me for hours, which is good, because I could swim for hours. From sunny days and beaches to snow-filled yards, I love all types of weather! In the winter, I love running through the snow in our neighborhood. I also have some great dog friends including Milo, Aslan, and two newer friends named Daisy and Billie. We have a lot of fun together.

My family and I also love visiting the dog park off Shrock, Alum Creek, and now Freeman Farm. If I could choose any adventure, I would head straight to Lake Erie where there is a long dock that is perfect for sprinting and launching off the end to make a big splash!

Life is pretty great here. Lots of friends, lots of swimming, and I’m pretty sure Reggie Jackson would call my dives off the dock a grand slam.
