Remembering the Heart of Our Community
JoAnn Tattersall
JoAnn Tattersall was a true pillar of the community whose influence could be felt throughout the Conejo Valley and beyond. Strong, driven, creative, and deeply faithful, she built a life centered around family, hard work, and meaningful purpose. She was admired for her leadership, determination, and ability to make things happen, the kind of woman who naturally took charge, solved problems, and inspired those around her.
Her faith was the foundation of her life and guided her through every season. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who deeply loved her family and took immense pride in them. JoAnn shared 44 wonderful years of marriage with her loving husband, Mark Tattersall, whose steadfast partnership was at the center of the life they built together. Though she held high standards and worked tirelessly, family was always at the heart of everything she did.
JoAnn is survived by her three children — Brett Tattersall and his wife Anna, Reid Tattersall and his wife Sydney, and Lindsay Jadwin and her husband Conner — all of whom proudly carry forward the values of hard work, resilience, and dedication she modeled throughout her life. Nothing brought JoAnn more joy than being “Jo Jo” to her beloved grandchildren: RJ, Morgan, Willow, Grace, Markus, Sofia, Charlie B, Stevie Rae, and Joey, lovingly nicknamed “Jo Jo” in her honor. She cherished time with her grandchildren and loved watching her family grow through the generations.
While JoAnn was known for her strength and leadership, she also had an incredibly creative side. She loved crafting, decorating, creating beautiful spaces, planning gatherings, and bringing ideas to life. She appreciated beauty, detail, and making memories special for the people she loved. Whether decorating for the holidays, planning her next exotic adventure or working on creative projects, she found joy in creating something meaningful and memorable.
JoAnn also believed strongly in continuing to grow as a person. She was always striving toward fun, travel, health, learning, and keeping her mind sharp. She loved experiencing new places, trying new foods, and staying engaged in life through her friendships. She approached life with energy, curiosity, and determination, always wanting to make the most out of every season.
For decades, JoAnn was also a respected leader behind Active Real Estate, The Tattersall Team. Real estate was far more than a profession to her; it was something she poured herself into wholeheartedly. She approached business with a CEO mindset — disciplined, hardworking, and always thinking ahead, much like her father, Howard Doolittle. Her professionalism, sharp instincts, and dedication to her clients helped shape a successful family business and earned her the trust and respect of countless families throughout the community. Today, her daughter, Lindsay Jadwin, proudly continues that legacy, carrying forward the values and work ethic JoAnn instilled over so many years.
For 19 years, JoAnn courageously battled ovarian cancer with incredible resilience and strength. Through the ups and downs, she continued to lead, love, work, and show up for the people around her. Her perseverance became an inspiration to many who watched her navigate such a long journey with faith and determination.
JoAnn passed away in March 2025 surrounded by her family and grandchildren by her side. Though she is deeply missed, the legacy she leaves behind continues through her family, her business, her faith, and the many lives she impacted over the years.
She will be remembered for her unwavering faith, strong leadership, creativity, resilience, and deep dedication to the people and community she loved so dearly.
