Ambience and Setting- Bitty and Beau's atmosphere is very unique to me. Its interior is very simple, and reminds me of a modern farmhouse. It’s mainly black and white but the pop of colors make for a pleasing environment. They have multiple chalkboards for menus and a wall with a map of the world on it, asking visitors to stick a pen where they are from! It’s calm colors on the walls allow productivity and peace, but I do not believe that the atmosphere is what is special. It is the people that fill it. 

 

Food and Presentation- They have a wide menu of many breakfast items, including burritos, oversized muffins, bagels, and cakepops. All of the pastries and treats they serve are fun and gourmet. But, what really stands out to me are the drinks. They have simple drinks including coffee, matcha, chai, frappuccinos, and others, but each cup has a positive message written by one of the staff members. A few that I have gotten are “You’re a Star” and “I believe in you”. It's nice to have a coffee shop spreading positivity to every individual who walks in it. 

 

Service and Staff- The staff of Bitty and Beau’s is what is the most special. Bitty and Beaus has a mission driven workforce to employ individuals who have Down syndrome, autism, cerebral palsy, and other intellectual and developmental disabilities. This environment each worker has created is a special place for all people to enjoy. Each staff member is kind, compassionate, and hardworking and it is truly a joy to receive a drink (along with a smile) from them. What the world needs more of is positivity and support and love for all. Bitty and Beau’s is one step closer to making this world a better place. The positivity and love in this cafe is undoubtedly the best I have ever seen. While the drinks are amazing, the positivity served alongside them makes it truly a treat. 

 

Overall, Bitty and Beau’s is my go to cafe when I am studying because it allows me to be productive but also slow down and appreciate the things around me. Life is a beautiful place and this cafe really fosters the joy and happiness we get from others around us.
