Dear Friends and Readers,
June is always a special issue for us, and this one may be my favorite yet. There is something incredibly meaningful about pausing to celebrate milestones, especially when they represent not just achievement, but growth, resilience, and the exciting road ahead.
This month, we are proud to celebrate our graduates across the community. From high school seniors stepping into their next chapter to college graduates launching into careers and new adventures, this issue is filled with stories that reflect hard work, dedication, and bright futures. Expanding this feature to include both high school and college graduates made it even more special, and I know you’ll love seeing the incredible young people who are part of our community.
Beyond graduation, this issue highlights something just as inspiring: teens and young adults already making a difference right now.
Through programs like the American Heart Association Sweetheart Program and the Teen of Impact campaign, we’re seeing young leaders step up in powerful ways. These initiatives are giving teens the opportunity to build confidence, develop leadership skills, and create real, lasting impact in their communities. It’s inspiring to see what they are capable of, and even more exciting to imagine what’s ahead for them.
We also take a thoughtful turn this month with our Ask the Expert feature, where Becky Reed with R&R Massage shares insight into the benefits of TMJ/buccal massage and how these techniques can provide real relief from tension, headaches, and everyday stress. It’s a fascinating look at wellness and one more way we’re bringing valuable, expert-driven content to you.
Our Partner Spotlight features Monica Good with Uptown Real Estate, and we’re honored to share her story. These spotlights are always a reminder that behind every business in our pages is a person who genuinely cares about serving this community well.
And of course, you’ll find something delicious waiting for you in these pages thanks to Brittany with Edelbuttle Nutrition. Her dried herb butter roast chicken is perfect for summer gatherings, graduation celebrations, and those evenings when you just want to bring everyone together around the table.
We’re also continuing one of my favorite traditions… Where’s Strolly? Strolly's hidden somewhere throughout the magazine once again, and this month’s winner will receive a special prize from Chef Brittany. Be sure to join in the fun.
Before I close, I want to ask you for one small favor.
This magazine is truly a labor of love. It is built from your stories, your participation, and the incredible support of the businesses you see in these pages. They are not just advertisers, they are partners who believe in this community and want to serve it well.
So here’s my ask:
As you flip through this issue, find one business you’ve been meaning to try. Reach out. Visit them. Thank them for supporting this magazine and, in turn, supporting all of us. That simple action goes a long way in keeping this special connection thriving.

Thank you for being part of this community, for sharing your stories, and for continuing to make this magazine what it is. I’m so excited for what’s ahead.
