We’re bare-naked when it comes to our prices and service; we’re open, honest, and transparent – we’re doing business differently than the rest,” said Tyler Smith, Owner of Bear Naked Hot Tub & Sauna Company.

 

Bear Naked is a hot tub and sauna dealer at the Loveland Yards, formerly the Centerra Outlet Mall. At their location, you’ll find Northern Colorado's largest spa and sauna showroom, complete with model swim spas, saunas, and hot tubs.

 

Tyler grew up in Missouri and has been in the business his whole life. “I was born into this,” he detailed. “My family can trace its hot tub roots back over fifty years. My grandfather was a custom home builder; my uncle worked alongside him, and one of the ways they set their work apart was by adding custom hot tubs and saunas. They quickly discovered just how much people loved these amenities in their homes.”

 

Tyler’s uncle moved to Colorado and opened Mountain Mist Pool and Spa in Longmont; it has been in business for many decades. Around the same time, Tyler’s parents opened their own store in Missouri; Tyler grew up working there and learned the ins and outs of service and repair.

 

With a newborn, Tyler and his wife, Jill, moved to Colorado to take over his uncle’s Mountain Mist store. Tyler purchased the business, and the Smiths spent the next decade growing it and their family. Tyler oversees the business, while Jill works behind the scenes, managing accounting and HR-related work.  

 

“It’s a great business to be in,” Tyler said. “We’re not selling people dishwashers or garage doors. We’re selling them something fun that the whole family is excited about. I just love seeing how happy it makes our customers. I feel really lucky that I get to do this every day.”

 

By January 2024, Tyler and Jill knew their business was ready for more. They opened Bear Naked Hot Tub & Sauna Company in Loveland. “It’s been fantastic,” Tyler said. “We’re so happy that we decided to step up to the plate, so to speak, and do more for our customers. We have the largest showroom in the region, and people love to come see what we have to offer.”

 

In addition to their hot tub offerings, Bear Naked also provides a full line of in-home dry saunas. “Saunas are our fastest-growing product,” he added. “There are many physical and mental health benefits of using a sauna, and people are starting to recognize them.” The Bear Naked team recently installed a sauna at Coach Prime’s house to help improve his blood circulation and reduce his risk for clots.

 

In all their years in the business, the thing that has always remained true for Tyler and his team is their commitment to customer service. “We’re local; we’re family-owned. We do a great job with every client because these are our people. We take customer service seriously, and we always do the right thing.”

 

Bear Naked prides itself on being full-service. In addition to sales, they also offer delivery and installation for any new sauna, swim spa, or hot tub. They also have a full maintenance and repair shop.

 

“We’ll work on anything, not just systems we’ve sold,” Tyler said. “Our service department is always busy because we’ve built a reputation of being one of the best in the area.” Combined, their service team has more than twelve years of experience in saunas and tubs.

 

At the Loveland location, Mike heads up the service department. He has a background in pool maintenance and can fix almost anything. Clayton is the store manager of the Loveland Yards location. He worked for 18 years at their Longmont store and has deep experience in all products.

 

The team is proud to give back through the Colorado chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation. In the past, they have donated labor, spas, pool supplies, and maintenance services. “It’s always so bittersweet to go on those jobs, but we’re proud to do whatever we can to give back,” Tyler said. They also donate to local schools and sports teams.
