Little Explorers
Clara and Caleb Kostell are already filling their young lives with books, travel, and family adventures.
For Dylan and Rebecca Kostell, life these days is filled with adventure, laughter, and the joyful energy of two little explorers. Little Clara and Caleb may still be young, but they are already making big memories with their family.
Two-and-a-half-year-old Clara and her seven-month-old baby brother Caleb each bring a special personality to the Kostell household. Clara, born August 24, 2023, is curious, vibrant, and already developing some very refined tastes. Caleb, born September 16, 2025, is the family’s newest addition and is happily discovering the world one adventure at a time.
Clara is quite the bookworm, her parents say. She absolutely loves reading, and her current favorite is a 5-minute bedtime story Star Wars anthology. In fact, she has become Darth Vader’s newest number one fan. Meanwhile, Caleb has begun discovering some of life’s simplest joys. One is his feet, which are exciting, but the other is Mom’s hair, which is not quite as exciting, especially for Rebecca.
When it comes to food, Clara has quite a unique and expensive favorite. According to her parents, she loves a medium rare grass-fed ribeye, but don’t forget cowboy butter on the side. Caleb, on the other hand, keeps things classic and simple with a good old-fashioned bottle.
The Kostell kids are already becoming little jet-setters as well. In her short two and a half years, Clara has visited four countries: Ireland, Spain, France, and Portugal. Caleb recently took his first plane ride to California and is already planning to collect his first passport stamp later this year. Travel runs in the family, as Dylan and Rebecca met while working aboard Disney Cruise Line, so the kids come by their wanderlust.
Back at home, Clara enjoys attending Nature School at the Lake Erie Nature and Science Center and taking ballet classes at ADMA. Caleb often tags along as a curious spectator, taking it all in while cheering on his big sister.
Both Clara and Caleb are known for their sunny dispositions and cheerful personalities. Dylan and Rebecca feel especially grateful to be raising their children in a neighborhood full of supportive neighbors who have quickly become close friends. As the seasons change, you’ll likely find the Kostell family on their morning walk around the neighborhood with their small black beagle mix, Boba Fett, or hanging by the pool.
As Clara continues exploring the world through books, ballet, and traveling, Caleb is right there by her side. Dylan and Rebecca can’t wait to see where their next adventure takes them.
