Golden Era Continues

Red Tail dancers help power Avon High School to two more state championships amid district-wide athletic dominance.

The Red Tail community has reason to celebrate as three local students, Mackenzie Studier, Emery Massie, and Gianna Falkowski, were part of the Avon High School Dance Team that captured two state championships in 2026. The team earned titles in both the Large Gameday and Large Jazz categories under the direction of head coach Doreen.

Avon’s dance program has long been recognized for excellence, consistently competing at the highest levels and bringing home multiple state championships in recent years. The addition of two 2026 state titles further strengthens the program’s reputation and highlights the dedication, discipline, and talent of Avon’s student performers.

What makes this moment even more remarkable is the broader success across Avon athletics. This past year has truly been a golden era for the district, with state championships in football, volleyball, and soccer. The addition of the dance team’s dual victories showcases the depth and breadth of talent among Avon student athletes and performers and illustrates a district-wide culture of excellence.

Being part of a championship dance team requires significant commitment. Dancers dedicate countless hours to rehearsals, conditioning, and perfecting routines while balancing academics and other responsibilities. The precision, teamwork, and performance quality demonstrated at state competitions are the result of months of preparation and shared dedication.

For Red Tail residents, having Mackenzie, Emery, and Gianna contribute to these victories brings a special sense of community pride. Their achievements highlight not only individual talent but also the support, guidance, and leadership present in Avon’s programs.

As Avon’s remarkable run of success continues, it is clear that this is a historic moment for the district. From the playing field to the performance stage, Avon students are setting a standard of excellence, making this a truly special time for the community.
