New Beginnings
Growing Family, Growing Roots in Red Tail
For Colin and Maddy Marshall, life on St. Gregory Way is all about settling into this new chapter of life—one that’s been made even sweeter with the arrival of their baby boy, Gordie. As new parents, their home is filled with love, new routines, and moments they’ll cherish for years to come.
Although they’ve only lived in the neighborhood for eight months, Colin and Maddy already appreciate the strong sense of community that surrounds them. They love being part of such an active and friendly environment.
Both originally from Northeast Ohio, Colin grew up in North Royalton, while Maddy is from Lakewood. Colin attended the University of Dayton, and Maddy was at The Ohio State University. Both are working in the healthcare field—Colin in radiology and Maddy in medical device sales.
These days, much of their time is centered around Gordie, who is quickly stealing their hearts and sleep schedule. Even so, they are still able to enjoy doing the things they love. One of which is going out to eat and trying new restaurants, yet Isshoni currently holds the number one spot. Their favorite family meal at home, though, is beef tenderloin. They are also huge Cleveland sports fans—especially the Browns—and enjoy snowboarding and listening to classic rock in their free time.
One of their favorite local places to spend time is Lakewood Park, where they can enjoy the outdoors and get out for a walk as a family. Although when people ask what their favorite travel destination is, Aruba is always the first on their minds.
Whenever they get the chance to relax, they know just how to enjoy it. Whether that’s going to the sauna or steam room, taking walks, or watching movies together, this is ideal for their quieter moments. They’re also big fans of Harry Potter, which makes for the perfect cozy night at home.
As they continue to settle into the neighborhood, Colin and Maddy are enjoying getting to know their neighbors and building connections. They’re excited to keep filling their home with warmth, happiness, and plenty of new memories with their sweet Gordie.
