Window Watchers
From barking at passing neighbors to cheering each other on, Weezy and Eller make every day an adventure.
Hi, I'm Weezy.
I'm an English Bulldog, and despite what most people assume, I'm actually a girl. For some reason, everyone thinks I'm a boy. I don't mind, though. I have bigger things to worry about, like keeping an eye on my best friend, Eller.
Eller is a Bouvier des Flandres, and he's much bigger than I am. People usually expect him to be the one calling the shots around here. The funny thing is, even Eller seems to understand that I like things done a certain way.
Eller and I spend most of our days together. He's incredibly loyal and takes his neighborhood watch duties very seriously. You'll usually find him stationed at the front window, barking at anyone who walks, bikes, or drives by. I can't quite see out the window myself, but that doesn't stop me from helping. If Eller starts barking, I immediately join in. I figure we're a team, and every good security team needs a backup.
Our family brought us home for the companionship and love that pets provide, and we've happily accepted that job. Eller has chosen Mom as his person, while I've claimed Dad. Wherever he goes, I'm usually not far behind.
Life in our house is pretty wonderful. We have comfy beds, plenty of treats, and more attention than two dogs could ever need. Our family has even learned to spell W-A-L-K because saying the actual word out loud creates complete chaos. The moment we hear it, all dignity goes out the window.
We also have surprisingly healthy tastes. While other dogs get excited about ordinary treats, Eller and I love fruits and vegetables. Carrots, apple slices, and just about any healthy snack will get our tails wagging.
Our family says we've enriched their lives, but honestly, we think they've enriched ours too. Whether we're standing guard at the front window, waiting for a walk, or hoping for an apple slice, our favorite thing is simply being together.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I think I heard someone say W-A-L-K.
