A Space for Women, A Celebration of Community
A Mother’s Day inspired gathering brought Riverview women together for connection, conversation, and community impact.
There is something powerful about a room full of women coming together to support one another, and that spirit was at the heart of Riverview’s recent Women’s Social in honor of Mother’s Day. The event brought neighbors together for an afternoon centered on connection, encouragement, and community.
Organized by neighbors, Sarah Gibson and Carol Yim, the gathering was thoughtfully designed as a space where women could feel welcomed, celebrated, and genuinely supported. From meaningful conversations to new friendships and plenty of laughter, the atmosphere felt warm and uplifting from beginning to end.
The event served as a reminder of how important it is to create spaces where women are at the center. In the middle of busy schedules and everyday responsibilities, the afternoon offered an opportunity to slow down, gather together, and pour back into one another.
One of the most meaningful parts of the event was the community raffle, with all proceeds benefiting The Sunrise Coalition.
Supporting women means more than showing up in moments of crisis. It means creating spaces where women feel seen, valued, encouraged, and empowered in every season of life. The Women’s Social beautifully reflected that mission by bringing neighbors together not only to celebrate motherhood and friendship, but also to invest in the well being of women as a whole.
More than anything, the afternoon reflected what makes Riverview special: Neighbors creating intentional spaces where people feel connected, valued, and uplifted.
