Get the Locks That You Love with Marina Ozturk

From Short to Long in 3 Hours Or Less

The Kardashians. Ariana Grande. Rita Ora. Riley Keough. (Yes, those names.)

Before Marina Ozturk brought her talent to the Bay Area, she was sourcing and delivering luxury hair extensions for some of the most recognizable women in entertainment. “I’ve dropped off hair at the Kardashians’ gate,” she says with a smile. “But I never met them.” Today, that same Beverly Hills–level expertise is available right here in Danville.
A graduate of the prestigious Vidal Sassoon Academy, Marina continued her training in Beverly Hills and London, refining her skills in elite salons such as Christophe, Meche, and Tatiana Karelina. She even helped open a salon in Beverly Hills with a famous hair extension technician from London.
“She flew me out for a while once she heard about me to train me on how to make my own hair extensions,” says Marina. That added a worldly touch to her already refined expertise.
Extensions are her focus. Her art. Her precision work. The results speak for themselves with Instagram-worthy locks that impress. Expect to feel more confident, more self-assured, and maybe even happier. Helping women feel better about themselves is what Marina is all about.
“I always had a passion for beauty and enhancing women’s confidence,” Marina shares. It shows in the meticulous way she approaches every client and carefully installs their extensions with care.
The Modern Extension Era
One of the biggest misconceptions about hair extensions? That extensions are obvious. “The techniques are modernized now,” Marina explains. “No one can tell.” That’s how far extensions have come in recent years.
Extensions also don’t have to create long hair. Hair can be designed any length. And it’s not always about dramatic, waist-length glam. “It’s not for an extreme glamorous look,” she says. “It can be for subtle confidence.”
Hair sourcing matters. Marina works with Russian hair for finer textures, thicker Asian hair for denser blends, and carefully matches every client’s natural pattern and tone. Sometimes she blends multiple textures and colors to create a highlighted effect without chemical processing.
“It depends on your hair texture to find the best match,” she says. And length? Optional. “It doesn’t have to be long. It can be as short as a bob.”
Installation takes about two to three hours. Beaded and I-tip clients return every couple of months for a move-up, while K-tip extensions last longer but require new hair after removal.
Maintenance is simple. “With all the methods, you can wash and style your hair as if you don’t have hair extensions,” Marina explains.
Marina offers three primary extension methods, each customized to the individual.
Micro I-Tip (Individual Micro-Beads)
This strand-by-strand technique uses the smallest copper rings available with no glue, no tape, no keratin. The result is lightweight, flexible, and virtually undetectable. Because each strand is placed individually, Marina can add volume exactly where it’s needed. “Years of practice, proper sectioning, and weight distribution are why my method is so efficient,” she notes.
The hair can be reused multiple times with proper rebonding, making it one of the safest and most budget-conscious luxury options available.
Keratin (K-Tip) Extensions
Keratin bonds are attached about a centimeter from the root and grow naturally with your hair. These last between two and five months and can be styled freely. Think ponytails, half-up styles, curls, sleek straight looks. “Keratin is a natural part of the hair,” Marina explains, which is why the finish is so seamless.
Combline Extensions
One of the newest techniques on the market (and one Marina is specially certified in) are combline extensions that are ideal for delicate areas like the hairline, crown, and nape. “This is the most undetectable and seamless method,” she says. Perfect for sparse areas where scalp is visible, they last about six weeks before a fill, similar to lash extensions.
An Expert In Her Craft
Unlike traditional hairdressers, Marina chose to specialize in what she does best. “Extensions are my sole focus,” she says. “I spent time perfecting that craft instead of learning different specialties at the same time.”
She rents a chair at Tribez Salon in Blackhawk in Danville and also offers house calls exclusively to clients in Ruby Hill. When she’s not working, she’s spending time with her five-year-old son Noah and enjoying life with family and friends.
Spice up your life with hair extensions. “You don’t have to commit to it forever if it’s not for you,” she says. “But why wait for your hair to grow when you can have the most beautiful hair on the market in hours?”
