Meet Your Neighbors
For more than 13 years, the Hill family has called Spaulding Farm home — and in that time, they’ve become an inseparable part of the neighborhood’s fabric. Erin and Patrick Hill, along with their children John Patrick (JP) and Emerson (Emmy), embody what makes this community so special: warmth, dedication, and connection.
Erin Hill, 50, is a Pharmacist and the Infusion Pharmacy Operations Manager at St. Francis Cancer Center in Greenville, where she helps lead innovative treatments such as immunotherapy, CAR-T, and gene therapy for patients in need. Her husband,
Patrick, 49, is the Director of Pharmacy at Palmetto Patriots Home — a long-term care facility in Gaffney dedicated to serving Veterans. Both are passionate about their work and their community, and together they’ve built a beautiful life right here in Spaulding Farm.
Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, Erin made her way south to Hilton Head to escape the cold, while Patrick — a Greenville native — grew up just a few miles down the road and remembers when Spaulding Farm was first being built. The couple met in Hilton Head through a mutual friend (who insisted they “had to meet”), and the rest was history. Patrick proposed to Erin on the beach at Hilton Head, and they later celebrated their wedding right there in the sand.
After getting married, the couple spent countless weekends driving around Greenville searching for the perfect neighborhood to raise their family. “The minute we pulled into Spaulding Farm, there was nowhere else we wanted to live,” Erin says. “It was so welcoming — the beautiful landscaping, the unique homes, and the sense of community. Every time we drove through, people were out walking, running, or visiting. We knew we were home.”
They first moved in when JP was just six months old — and nine years later, during COVID, they moved next door into a home that better fit their growing family, complete with a backyard kitchen, pool, and extra garage space.
JP, now 13, is an eighth-grader at Beck International Academy in honors classes. He plays on the D-Team football team for J.L. Mann and enjoys flag football, church, basketball, and fishing with friends at the Spaulding Farm lake. When he’s not casting a line, you can find him practicing his golf game, hoping to make the J.L. Mann JV golf team next year. His goal one day? To attend the University of South Carolina.
Emmy, who turns 12 in December, is a sixth-grader at Beck and a talented Level 7 competitive gymnast at Acrosmith in Simpsonville. She loves all things gymnastics and dreams of becoming a GymDog at the University of Georgia — or even an Olympic gymnast. Outside the gym, Emmy enjoys art, cooking, baking, Girl Scouts, and spending time with friends (and dogs!). She’s an animal lover at heart and hopes to one day become a veterinarian.
Rounding out the family is Dixie, their nine-and-a-half-year-old German Shorthaired Pointer who loves running, chasing tennis balls, and being wherever her humans are.
Patrick enjoys playing tennis on the Spaulding Farm men’s team — which made it all the way to sectionals this past summer — and he’s also involved with the neighborhood’s men’s garden club. The Hills have always supported community activities, including the swim team, neighborhood gatherings, and local events.
When it comes to family time, the Hills love celebrating holidays with both sides of their family — Patrick’s relatives are local, and Erin’s often travel from Atlanta, Hilton Head, and Cleveland. They also enjoy exploring Greenville’s local shops, restaurants, and markets, taking full advantage of all the area has to offer.
For the Hills, Spaulding Farm isn’t just a neighborhood — it’s home. “Our favorite part of living here is the community,” Erin says. “This neighborhood is filled with the most kind and amazing people. We’ve made lifelong friends, and our kids have too. Watching them bike to the pool, the lake, or a friend’s house is exactly the kind of life we dreamed of when we first drove through those gates.”
