Whether you are looking to make new friends, reconnect with neighbors, or simply enjoy a fun evening out, the SOTL Empty Nester Ladies Bunco group has a seat waiting for you.
Bunco is the perfect excuse to get together. It is a game defined more by laughter and socializing than by complex strategy, making it an ideal setting for a relaxed evening. Our group meets on the fourth Wednesday of every month at 6:30 p.m. at the Clubhouse. It is open to all SOTL Empty Nester Ladies, and with the capacity to support up to 24 players at a time, there is plenty of room for everyone to join in the fun.
While the group of attendees shifts slightly from month to month, we are lucky to have a fantastic core of regulars, including Sue Barcus, Merrie West-Davis, Margaret Kosovich, Leannah Hartnett, Marie Schulze, Lee Tunila, and Pat Sheehy. Whether you are a seasoned pro or have never held a Bunco die in your life, you will fit right in.
How to Play
If you are new to the game, don't worry! Bunco is easy to pick up. The game consists of 4 rounds, each featuring 6 games. In each round, players roll a die to match the target number of that round. You roll as many times as you can to earn points for each match. Along the way, keep an eye out for a "Mini"—which is rolling three of the same number on the dice—that scores you extra points! The ultimate goal is to roll a "Bunco," which means rolling three of the current target number, winning you the round.
