As America celebrates its 250th birthday in 2026, we are reflecting on the values that have shaped our nation for generations: service, sacrifice, and commitment to community. Few people embody those values more than our Veterans.

On Monday, November 9, 2026, the Bear's Best Veterans Charity Golf Classic will return for its third year, bringing together Veterans, neighbors, local businesses, and supporters for a day of camaraderie and gratitude. What began as "a little golf outing" has grown into a meaningful tradition that honors those who have served our country while raising funds for Veteran-focused organizations.

One of the most important goals of this tournament remains unchanged: every Veteran who participates should be able to play free of charge.

Last year, generous sponsors helped make that vision a reality while the tournament raised more than $20,000 for the Georgia Purple Heart Association and the Georgia Veterans Day Association. Despite cold temperatures, wind, and even snow, Veterans and supporters came together for a memorable day that demonstrated the very best of our community.
