The Heart of It All: Motherhood, Meaning, and a Life Well Built
There’s a quiet strength in the way Zenobia Bhanpuri moves through her days—grounded in family, guided by purpose, and centered around what matters most.
This June, Zenobia and her husband, Hoor, will celebrate 20 years of marriage. Together, they’ve built a life filled with intention and joy alongside their three daughters—Nadiyah (12), Laila (10), and Maliha (8). Their home is full in the best way: music playing, crafts in progress, schedules packed with dance, sports, and choir, and the kind of conversations that happen in between it all—often in the car, sometimes with a little karaoke mixed in.
For the past 11 years, Thornwood has been the backdrop to it all. The walkable streets, the elementary school within the neighborhood, the parks, the pool, and the neighbors who genuinely care—it’s the kind of place where families grow close without even trying, just like Zenobia and Hoor.
Hoor, founder of Edgeucation AI, is deeply committed to closing the achievement gap through education, but at home, he’s known simply as an engaged and steady dad—coaching soccer, showing up, and setting the tone for what family looks like.
Zenobia’s work reflects the same heart she brings to her home. With a degree in Elementary Education from Illinois State and a Master’s from Benedictine, she serves as an ELL teacher in St. Charles, helping students find their voice and confidence. At the same time, she’s the founder and owner of Lyfe of the Party, where she designs and plans events that feel thoughtful and deeply personal—every detail considered, every celebration tailored to the people it’s meant to honor.
At home, that same creativity shows up in meaningful ways. What started during the pandemic—creating themed dinners, decorating for holidays, and making ordinary days feel special—has grown into something much bigger. It mirrors the experience that Zenobia now creates through Lyfe of the Party, where she brings together design, planning, and intention to help others celebrate life’s most important moments. Whether it’s a wedding, a milestone event, or a gathering that simply brings people together, her work is rooted in the belief that details matter because people matter. And at home, her daughters have grown up watching that care in action—learning that creating something special for others is one of the most meaningful things you can do.
When Zenobia talks about motherhood, it’s not about perfection. It’s about growth. It’s about raising daughters who are kind, confident, and aware of the world around them. It’s about the hugs at the end of a long day, the pride in watching them perform, and the deeper understanding she’s gained of her own mother’s sacrifices and strength. Zenobia will tell you she pours into many people—her students, her clients, her community. But her greatest work, without question, is at home.
This Mother’s Day, we honor Zenobia for the love, intention, and strength she pours into her family each and every day. In the midst of all she gives to others, her greatest impact is found in the home she has so thoughtfully built and the daughters she is raising with heart and purpose. Her quiet strength and steady presence are a beautiful reflection of what motherhood truly means.
