The Behrens Family
Meet the Behrens family, longtime residents who bring warmth, energy, and community spirit to our neighborhood. Known for their friendliness and commitment to local causes, the Behrens are a true part of our neighborhood fabric.
For the Behrens family, home is all about faith, family, and the simple joy of watching their kids play outside with neighbors close by.
Bryan and Reve Behrens moved to the neighborhood about three years ago and quickly found what they were hoping for—a place where families look out for one another and children can still enjoy the freedom of growing up surrounded by friends.
Reve, 42, grew up in Wahoo, Nebraska and describes herself first and foremost as a stay-at-home mom. While raising their three young children, she also works part-time as a real estate agent with Nebraska Realty and runs a small cleaning business called Mom & A Vacuum. Bryan, 49, grew up in Treynor, Iowa and works as a senior project manager with VernCo Roofing, overseeing projects involving roofing, gutters, windows, and siding. When he’s not working, you can usually find him cheering on Husker football.
The couple’s story began online when they met through Christian Mingle. That connection eventually grew into the family-centered life they share today.
Their home is full of energy thanks to their three children. Bennett, 7, loves dinosaurs and enjoys playing basketball—along with occasionally teasing his little sister. Savanna, 4, is described by her parents as “very spicy,” full of personality, and happiest when she’s dancing or helping around the house. The youngest, Brady, is just one year old and already known for his mischievous side. “He loves trouble and being ornery,” Reve laughs, “but he’s always smiling and so much fun.”
Two family dogs, Paxton and Izzy, round out the lively household.
Both Bryan and Reve share a strong desire to serve others. Reve has a special heart for encouraging and helping other women—especially fellow moms—while Bryan enjoys helping people and seeing projects through to completion, both professionally and personally.
The Behrens family enjoys spending time around Gretna whenever they can. Some of their favorite local spots include The Beanery, the Gretna YMCA, Muchachos, and the nearby parks where the kids can run and play.
When the holidays come around, the family has a special tradition they look forward to each year: spending Christmas together in a mountain cabin. It’s a chance to slow down, unplug, and focus on what matters most.
One of their favorite neighborhood memories so far was celebrating the Fourth of July in 2024 alongside their neighbors. Events like that reinforce what they love most about living here—the sense of community and the peace of mind that comes from knowing neighbors are looking out for one another.
