Comfort Starts with Caring: Comfort Advisors

Comfort Advisors Founder, Michael

For Michael Bland, comfort isn't just about heating and cooling—it's about giving families something he knows firsthand not everyone has.

Growing up in Millard with his three brothers, Michael watched his mother work tirelessly to provide for their family. There were times when reliable heating and air conditioning simply weren't affordable. Those experiences shaped his perspective and ultimately inspired the career he would build.
After graduating from Millard South High School, Michael studied HVAC at Southeast Community College in Milford and went on to earn Master Mechanical Licenses in both Nebraska and Iowa. Today, with more than 15 years of industry experience, he's the owner of Comfort Advisors Heating & Cooling, a locally owned company dedicated to helping families enjoy safe, comfortable, and healthy homes.

"My wife, Rebecca, and our young son are my inspiration every day," Michael says. "We built Comfort Advisors to serve people with honesty, integrity, and genuine care."

That philosophy is reflected in the company's name. Rather than simply selling equipment, Comfort Advisors focuses on educating homeowners, explaining options in plain language, and helping families choose the solution that best fits their home, lifestyle, and budget. Their comprehensive services include heating and air conditioning repair and installation, emergency service, preventative maintenance, indoor air quality solutions, air duct cleaning, Aeroseal duct sealing, smart thermostats, and Comfort Club maintenance memberships.

One feature that truly sets Comfort Advisors apart is its commitment to customer care long after the work is complete. Every installation includes a complimentary Quality Assurance visit to ensure everything meets the company's high standards and that homeowners feel confident operating their new system.

As the business has grown, Michael has remained committed to preserving the family-first culture that inspired it. By hiring team members who share the company's values of honesty, respect, and craftsmanship, Comfort Advisors continues to earn the trust of homeowners throughout the Omaha metro.
Looking ahead, Michael's vision isn't to become the area's biggest HVAC company—it's to become the one families recommend with complete confidence. He also hopes to invest in the next generation of skilled tradespeople while continuing to expand indoor air quality services and preventative maintenance programs.

His advice for homeowners is simple: don't wait until your heating or cooling system breaks down. Annual maintenance can improve efficiency, extend the life of your equipment, and help avoid unexpected repairs. He also encourages homeowners to ask questions and work with contractors who take the time to educate rather than pressure.

"Our success isn't measured by the number of systems we install," Michael says. "It's measured by the relationships we build and the trust we earn."
