The fiesta spirit was alive and well at the Tierra Verde Rotary Cinco de Mayo Fiesta & Fundraiser held at The Island Grille on May 5th. Residents, friends, and supporters gathered for an unforgettable evening filled with laughter, lively music, festive flavors, and plenty of community connection — all in support of Rotary charities.

From the moment guests arrived, the atmosphere was electric. Colorful décor, upbeat music, and a packed crowd created the perfect backdrop for a night of celebration. Attendees enjoyed delicious food and drink specials while mingling with neighbors and dancing the night away.

One of the biggest highlights of the evening was the crowd-favorite contests that kept everyone entertained from start to finish. The dance contest brought out impressive moves and lots of cheering from the audience, while the jalapeño eating competition tested the bravery — and taste buds — of some daring participants. The mustache contest added even more humor and excitement as contestants proudly showed off their best “stache” style for the crowd.

The event’s playful energy and festive atmosphere made it easy to see why the evening drew such an incredible turnout. Guests embraced the Cinco de Mayo theme with sombreros, bright colors, and plenty of fiesta spirit, creating a vibrant and welcoming celebration for all ages.
