ProPaint Fine Finishes
Transforming Homes with Skill, Care, and a Commitment to Quality
With more than 15 years of experience, Gonzalo Nunez has built ProPaint Fine Finishes around a simple idea: when homeowners trust someone with their space, the work should reflect that responsibility. Today, his locally operated company serves homeowners across the North Shore with professional painting, cabinet refinishing, and epoxy flooring services designed to improve both the look and longevity of a home.
For Gonzalo, starting his own company was the natural next step after years in the industry.
“After 15 years in the business and with the guidance of an incredible mentor, I felt ready to break off on my own,” he says. “Starting from the bottom taught me every aspect of the business, and I knew I had the knowledge and confidence to start my own company.”
That experience shaped how he approaches every project. “I was driven by a desire to combine my love of efficiency with my obsession to deliver perfection,” Gonzalo explains.
Today, ProPaint Fine Finishes offers a full range of residential and commercial services, including interior and exterior painting, cabinet refinishing, and epoxy flooring. The company is fully licensed, bonded, and insured with $1.5 million in liability coverage, and every project is backed by a five-year written guarantee.
Making Home Updates Simple and Lasting
Interior painting remains one of the company’s most requested services. Gonzalo and his team work hard to make the process as smooth as possible for homeowners.
“We help move furniture, we clean up after ourselves, and we’re always on time,” he says. “It’s about taking stress off the client and delivering a clean, professional result.”
Kitchen and bathroom cabinet refinishing has also become a popular option for homeowners who want a fresh look without the expense of full replacement. With the right preparation and finish, existing cabinetry can look completely new.
“People are often surprised how modern their cabinets can look with the right paint and prep work,” Gonzalo says. “Our refinishing process is designed to last and make a real visual impact.”
One recent project involved a two-tone kitchen update that transformed the entire space. By combining careful preparation with durable finishes, the team was able to give the kitchen a modern look while preserving the original cabinetry.
Epoxy flooring is another area where ProPaint Fine Finishes has developed a strong reputation. From residential garages to commercial spaces, the durable coating creates a sleek surface that is easy to maintain and built to withstand heavy use.
“The epoxy work we do is both functional and clean-looking,” Gonzalo says. “We did a simple epoxy lining for a local spa and the difference was immediate.”
A Team That Works Like Family
Behind every project is a team that Gonzalo considers more like extended family than coworkers. Many members of the crew have been with him since the beginning.
“Most of my guys have been with me since day one,” he says. “We are like a family in many ways. We have barbecues, outings, and share birthday parties together.”
Those connections extend beyond the job site. During the summer months, Gonzalo often hosts gatherings at his home where team members bring their families.
“I rarely use the word ‘employees,’” he says. “My guys come to my house with their wives and kids. We play card games or board games, and there’s always plenty of food and laughs.”
That sense of teamwork carries into every project the company takes on. One recent highlight was assisting with the restoration work at the Manchester Historical Museum, a project that required both care and attention to detail.
“Being trusted with a space like that was an honor,” Gonzalo says. “It reminded us why attention to detail and teamwork are so important.”
Outside of work, Gonzalo enjoys spending time with his son, Leo, and staying active in the community.
“I mostly enjoy competing at pickleball and spending quality time with my son,” he says. “He loves to swim, and we often paint together at my shop in Georgetown.”
As spring and summer approach—prime seasons for home improvement—Gonzalo encourages homeowners to plan ahead.
“We’re booking up, so if you’re thinking about getting something painted, give us a call,” he says. “We’ll come out, look at your project, and give you a free estimate. No pressure—just honest work and a team that cares.”
