For three years, Stroll Topsfield has shared the stories of neighbors, celebrated local businesses, and highlighted the people and places that make our community special. This spring, readers, partners, and friends gathered at Luna Mare in Ipswich to celebrate that milestone the best way possible—around a table filled with good food and even better conversation.

Rather than a formal event, the evening reflected the spirit of the magazine itself. Guests mingled, met new neighbors, reconnected with familiar faces, and enjoyed a Mediterranean-inspired tasting menu served family-style. Between shared plates, handcrafted cocktails, and plenty of laughter, the celebration was a reminder that some of the best conversations happen when everyone slows down long enough to enjoy a meal together.

Luna Mare itself has a story rooted in the North Shore. Owner and chef Petros Markopoulos previously operated the beloved Ithaki restaurant at the same Ipswich location for 25 years before relocating that restaurant to Peabody. Last year, he returned to 25 Hammatt Street with a fresh concept inspired by the flavors and traditions of the Mediterranean coast.

The menu encourages sharing, offering everything from classic mezze and grilled meats to fresh seafood, crisp salads, house-made specialties, and signature cocktails. The atmosphere strikes a balance between casual and elegant, creating a welcoming setting for everything from date nights to celebrations with friends and family.

Throughout the evening, manager Peter Papadimitriou greeted guests and shared the restaurant's philosophy—taking time to enjoy a meal rather than rushing through it. It was a fitting backdrop for Stroll's anniversary, where the focus has always been less about the magazine itself and more about bringing people together.

Many guests discovered new favorite dishes throughout the evening, from baba ghanoush and cheese fritters to chicken kebabs, pork souvlaki, meatballs, and other Mediterranean specialties. The shared plates naturally encouraged conversation, with guests sampling dishes from across the table and exchanging recommendations as the evening unfolded.

As Stroll Topsfield begins its fourth year, gatherings like this are a reminder of what the magazine has always been about.
