Real Talk, Real Impact: Women and Medicine Luncheon Inspires and Empowers

Nearly 450 guests gather at The ORA for Sarasota Memorial Healthcare Foundation’s signature event, sparking candid conversations on health, hormones, and happiness while supporting world-class care in the community.

On Friday, March 27, 2026, nearly 450 guests attended Sarasota Memorial Healthcare Foundation’s Women & Medicine Educational Luncheon at The ORA. The event featured an interactive panel discussion titled “Real Words: A Candid Conversation About Health, Hormones, and Happiness.” Proceeds were raised to help Sarasota Memorial Health Care System bring world-class healthcare to our community.

The program opened with a welcome from event co-chairs Barbara Rodkin, Healthcare Foundation board member, and Audrey Stewart, followed by an update on Sarasota Memorial from Jen Rosati, Chief Financial Officer, Sarasota Memorial Health Care System. The educational program was moderated by Lulu, co-host of the CMA-nominated Maverick and Lulu in the Morning show on 92.1 & 103.1 WCTQ, and featured a panel of female healthcare experts: Angela Boldo, M.D., Board-Certified, Fellowship-Trained Endocrinologist; Kelly Hamel, M.D., Board-Certified Obstetrician-Gynecologist; and Sarah Kimball, M.D., Board-Certified, Fellowship-Trained Breast Surgical Oncologist.

The panel explored the realities of menopause, addressing common misconceptions, its impact on women’s overall health, and offering actionable insights for managing this transition with confidence. To conclude the event, the panel held a question-and-answer session with attendees.
