Meet Mia!
Young Windward Entrepreneur Turns Passion Into Sparkling Success
For many young adults, graduating school means searching for a career path. For Windward’s Mia Tumminello, a resident of Greatwood, it meant creating one of her own.
After graduating from Le Fashion Lab in Atlanta in December 2024, she originally envisioned a future designing wedding gowns and formal dresses. The intensive year-and-a-half fashion program sharpened her creativity and gave her hands-on experience in the fashion world, but deep down, she knew she wanted something more personal and flexible. That’s when she discovered permanent jewelry.
“I’ve always loved jewelry,” Mia shared. “I took a class, practiced on my mom and sister, and then just decided to go for it.” That’s when Made To Love Jewelry was born.
What started with a small starter kit and a lot of determination quickly turned into a growing business. She began calling boutiques, setting up pop-ups, and introducing her unique jewelry experience to local shoppers. Her first big event at Altered State led to even more opportunities, including a month-long storefront at the Christkindl Market in Roswell.
Now, with a team of eight girls, many of them friends from high school, her business is thriving. Mia sources her chains from all over, including Puerto Rico so the options are limitless. Customers line up at local pop-ups for custom-fit permanent bracelets, necklaces, and anklets, creating meaningful keepsakes and memorable experiences.
But she’s not stopping there.
She’s already exploring the idea of a mobile boutique and expanding beyond jewelry into fashion and accessories. Her entrepreneurial spirit, combined with her creativity and determination, is inspiring to see.
“It’s special because I’m doing what I love every single day,” she said.
From fashion school graduate to successful business owner, this young entrepreneur is proving that with passion, courage, and a little sparkle, dreams really do come true.
